Yes, another post of our adorable daughter. She wore “ciput” (I am not sure what is the term in English), a hat which is usually worn by female who loves to cover their hair using scarf. This is very common for Muslim female, especially those who lives in Indonesia. According to Kayla’s mom who happened to have lived in several countries, Indonesia is very creative in term of providing clothing for Muslim female. She said several of her friends who lives in England, who are Iranian, are quite amazed by how Indonesian female wears headscarf. She also once gave her friend who lives in Malaysia (an Indian) a Mukena (read : a clothing for praying) from Indonesia and they loved it so much.
So, what is it to do with the post this time? Well, funnily it seems Kayla likes to watch her mommy wearing headscarf. For example, every morning on weekdays Kayla always pay attention when her mommy gets ready to work and start to wear the headscarf. This is good thing for us to introduce her very early to this thing, and as a narcissistic parents of course we love to put a headscarf on her head too and have a picture of her wearing ones
If you are wondering, yes..the ciput is newly bought when we visited ITC

PS : As soon as i posted this, my wife send me an email and highlighted the last statement where we bought ciput in ITC, she said : (daddy…do you have to say this *blush*);)

The following pictures were taken after Kayla gets better from her burnt skin. We just felt tired after facing a quite serious moment after the accident and decided to have a little of fresh air. So, on the weekend we went to ITC BSD for window shopping and also a little bit of relaxing moment. I am sure not many people agree that visiting ITC is one of way to relax yourself but actually the idea is just to get out from home, and of course to have a look at DVDs
.
So, after looking around we got several stuffs (read : mission unaccomplished – it’s NOT only window shopping) and we had our lunch in one of the famous Japanese restaurant…I bet you can guess. During our lunch, I took several pictures of our gorgeous daughter and i tried to combine into a thing called Comicayla (read : Comic Kayla)

Actually I am not sure what title to use for this post. Yupp…the story is not about the holiday activity which I had last week. Luckily as a person who work at an International School, I just got a week off from mid semester holiday. Unfortunately, the holiday I spent was not fun at all. I am not saying that I am not grateful for whatever Alloh has given to us. It’s rather just the feeling as a normal human being who prefers to have something more enjoyable.
So , here’s the story..around two weeks ago our beloved daughter had an accident. Her legs got burnt by the spilled boiling water. It was around 3.30 PM her nanny prepared the water for her afternoon bath while holding her in the lap. Accidentally the boiling water spilled on Kayla’s legs. It is very unusual that the nanny carry a pot of boiling water to the bathroom to be mixed with normal water (to earn warm water). She normally prepares the warm water at the kitchen before bringing it in to the bathroom.
When the accident happen I just reached home from work for 10 minutes and within seconds I heard the nanny screamed and Kayla cried so loud. I suddenly rush myself to see what happened and when I saw that Kayla’s legs were burnt from the spilled boiling water I took her to hospital directly.
It took around 45 minutes for the nurses and the doctor to clean the skin and to put some medicine on her legs. All the emotion and anger were colliding but I tried to keep myself calm, (just like what my friend said here: when you see your children unwell: it could break your heart). 20 minutes after that we reached home. For a while, it shows that Kayla was a little bit of scared to her nanny (traumatic perhaps?), she just wanted to be hugged by me. It took around 15 minutes to calm her and finally fall asleep. 5 minutes after that, Kayla’s mom reached home and as soon as she opened our bedroom door she cried while looking at Kayla’s leg.
Now, the legs are getting better, not fully recovered yet but just got better. Kayla does not cry at night time anymore and she can already play with us and get to know her nanny again. There were several common questions received from friends and relatives, such as whether we keep the nanny or get her fired. But we decided to keep her as we are aware that everything happens for reasons, I am sure Alloh has arranged this to test us and to learn to be careful and increase our faith to HIM.
I learn something from this accident, according to the doctor the best way to help people who got burnt is to dip burnt parts in normal temperature water immediately(for few minutes). By doing this it will avoid it in getting worse and reduce the chance for the skin to bubble / blister (I wish I knew this earlier). Anyway, I put several “acceptable” pictures (there are pictures of Kayla’s feet which is quite bad and I am sure perhaps not many people dare to see them).
