Kayla and her new pose

Hello again, after a long time I finally decided to update this blog. Not because I don’t have a story to share nor lazy, it is just that the preparation of the lesson for final year students plus preparation of reporting system take almost all my time. The only moment that I can have relaxing time is when I reach home from work, but of course I prefer to spend my valuable time with my cute princess Kayla and her adorable mommy :)

We have several pictures from our activity during Idul Fitri time and our trip to Singapore, but guess what? I lost all the pictures and the videos..darrnn..it doesn’t seem like I am an IT expert huh? Yeah right..every time I ask students to do the assignments I always remind them to have a backup of their work (just in case they lost the files due to corruption, virus, etc). Anyway, teacher is also human right? *alasansaja :)

So I finally share the pictures of our beloved daughter Mikayla. The first picture was telling us about how cute and adorable she is with a bit blonde hair. Yes, I am sure some of you might thing how does she get that hair color, and the reason is…it is her daddy’s gen. I proudly announce that my hair was blonde too when I was a boy, in fact most of my neighbors call me “bule-bule” or “si bule”. I wish at that time my parents introduced me to entertainment world. Yeah right…!!! A cute bule boy on TV must be paid so high, hehehhe :D

The second and the third picture of Kayla is telling us how funny she is with the same style (fingers on her cheek). This pose actually was taught by her mommy. Here is the story, one day we went to see a doctor to have Kayla vaccinated, as predicted she was a little bit afraid and uncomfortable stays in the waiting room at the hospital. Luckily, a smart and dedicated mommy took her to see pictures of  Tweety on the wall. Yes…the yellow  Tweety bird with her fingers on her cheek. Ever since that, it becomes Kayla’s favorite pose. The 2nd picture was taken at noon time at the back garden of our house. With mommy capturing her cute princess and her new peach Amaryllis flower. For some reason she was so excited to be captured and ignore the heat of the sunlight.

The last picture was recently taken in Dream World, Kayla’s mommy had a small reunion in Grand Indonesia with her high school friends and she took Kayla along, it was a good thing that Grand Indonesia provides such a wonderful playground area for kids. Initially Kayla was a little bit uncomfortable or perhaps feeling strange to this new playground as she has never been taken to this place before, but after few minutes she dare to start some of the toys.

See you again soon :D

Scam? Oh, terlalu…

Ok, let’s get straight to the point. This morning I faced a “funny” and a little bit annoying incident and it’s all related to technology. How come? Naah..it was not because my database server was down neither was  my blog hacked. Just an sms (short message service) poping in my phone saying in Javanese word like this :

Tulung tukune Bpk pulso 20 rb nan nmr anyar Bpk,iki nmre 0878429911xx. saiki, penting. mergo bpk ono mslah, ojo nlpn/sms. mengko bpk seng nelp awakmu.

I am sure you would laugh (if you are not angry) to read such a message. I really don’t know what does it mean even thought at a glance I know this is one of the scams. I showed my wife directly (who is Javanese) but she doesn’t know either of what it means. To be honestly speaking I have received several sms scams like this, but this is the first time I received it in Javanese language. Yup, the first time I received (in bahasa) I was quite shock and worried whether my parents are okay, I rushed to contact them directly and thank GOD they were fine. The second time I received it, I replied by saying “Please, you are not doing anything good here and GOD knows what you do” by hoping that there won’t be the third. But, I guess I was wrong.

Another weird is that I replied to my friend’s tweet and suddenly I got twitted back by someone who is very famous with his word TER-LA-LU. Yess..if you are thinking of a famous Indonesian dangdut singer then you are right. I said to myself “how come I am receiving this”, but to release my curiosity I checked his profile and it seems every time any twitter user says “terlalu” then this “BangHaji” will somehow detect it and replied by saying “Memang sungguh terlalu” . Arrgghhh…what is this?!@#$%

So, having these two annoying things this morning I would say “Oh, TERLALU”, hehe :D

New house anyone?

“Procrastinating”, is that the correct term to describe the activity I had several weeks ago on weekend? Hemm, I don’t know but actually I just went out from home to spend an afternoon time on Sunday with Mikayla and her mommy of course. At that time we were quite run out of budget to have a delightful coffee or pastry time in a cozy atmosphere café, so we decided just to drive around Bintaro area and see what we can find without have to spend much money (cheapskate mode: on) :D

While driving, I had a small chit chat with my wife and she shared the news that one of our close friend is moving to a new house in Bintaro area. I thought of visiting them but actually they have not moved to the new house yet, so we just look around the real-estate or town house, and in casual mode I asked my wife “what if we just get in to the show unit and see whether we can renovate our house interior or if the price of the house is affordable perhaps we can move there as well” (read : oh no, this statement is totally not true, there is no possibility for us to buy the new house due to extraordinary high price, I just made up the statement and exaggerate, hehe).

We look at three show units at the same town house, each of them offers different design, different size, and of course different price too. The developers quite smart when designing and building the show unit, which support eco friendly living, plus they also put a very wonderful interior which I am sure to attract the customers. For those who are newlywed or just have a little number of family members, I am definitely confident that you will like the house. It is just the price that does not fit in with our budget ;) (Let say, the smallest land for the house which is only 120 m2 cost around 800 million rupiah and our friend who have booked and pay the down payment three months ago got a cheaper price 700++).

Nevertheless, the “trip” was just fun, at least we have ideas/visions in case we want to upgrade our interior and of course there is always idea of me to take a picture :D

So, new house guys?
