This post is supported by special guests, yes..i mean we post a picture of Ibu Majlis ta’lim who organize Kayla 40 days syukuran and cukuran (hair cut).  This occasion is held on Sunday 28th February 2010 @ 1 PM. Initially i thought that this occasion is only a cultural event until i found out from several websites which tells us that actually this thing is sunnah (something that is not a must but if you do it you will be given ‘good reward’ as this was shown by our prophet Muhammad SAW).

Ok, i am going to tell you the breakdown of this event. First of all, the leader of Ibu Majlis Ta’lim started by saying Bismillah and all, then it continued by me giving a little speech.

Ya..ya.., i know that i was in a sleepy mode. Next to me is my youngest sister, kalyla’s aunty who assists me through out the syukuran

After the short speech, we read Al Quran together and then followed by the fantastic team (red : Ibu Majlis Ta’lim)  singing sholawat, and other islamic stuff..plus they brought their own traditional music instrument. Honestly, i did not know that this ‘entertainment’ part  would take that long. Yes, i said long as it took like 30mins for this part. But, that’s okay..it was interesting.

Lastly, of course the main topic which is the hair cut moment. This is the first time for me attending baby’s 1st hair cut moment, i mean not because this is my 1st baby but honestly i have never been in this kind of ceremony before, not my neighbor’s not even my brother’s (oops, for this i’d like to apologize to my brother, Kayla’s uncle Ade as i couldn’t come when he held his bab’y hair cut ceremony). Here’s the picture where kayla become a center of attraction (err..am I saying it correctly?)

Finally, through this post i’d like to send my prayer for my little princess to be given guidance by Alloh SWT, amiin

Yes, if you think the title of this post is quite ‘eye catching’ then i  totally agree with you. The picture was taken on Feb 20, 2010 which mean when Kayla exactly one month old. As  parent, my wife and i never thought that actually Kayla gain weight that fast (as we see her, taking care of her and play with her everyday ) until we met the doctor for BCG vaccine that afternoon. Kayla has gain 700 grams within a month, she is 3,4 kg now.

Then i started to calculate jokingly ‘if for a month she gain 700 gr then when she celebrate her birthday next year she’ll be around 12,1 kg’ wheewww…i can not imagine, ok..ok..daddy lets stop the ridiculous calculation and just try to raise her as best as we can, patiently and caring.

Having heard this news, we were happily surprised as well as Kayla’s grand parents. Alhamdulillah, hope she grow well, healthily, becoming a good muslimah, amiin

Now i realize, every time my friend congratulate me for having a baby they always says “congratulation you have a new toy now” (read : something that you can play with) and i just smiled. And yes, it is sooo fun play with her

Alhamdulillah, finally i have been given a responsibility of becoming  a daddy. Our 1st child was born on January 20, 2010 at Bintaro International Hospital. It was a great news for our big family, the birth of this baby has been waited for two years (age of our marriage). The little princess is named Mikayla Rizka Sumantri (a. k. a. Kayla), the first name is taken from one of Alloh’s angel who ‘distribute’ prosperity to all human kind, the second name inspired by “Rizky/Rizq” which i dont have to explain and the last name…of course it follows her daddy’s famiy name

The 1st picture is Kayla’s mom laying down in the hospital a night before she deliver Kayla. She already stayed in the hospital  a day before the “D” day. The clue to see this picture is “do not believe  what you see, the object in the mirror might be bigger than actual” hehe..

Then, we have this picture that shows Kayla’s mom waiting in front of Sectio operating room on Wednesday, January 20 2010. Initially the sectio is scheduled at 8 am but for some reasons it started at 8.15. Yes, if you think it made my wife nervous, definitely! Love you dear, for your patience.

Finally, the picture with Kayla (dooh..daddy, you have Kayla here but you still focus on the camera??!! hehe..)

Lastly, thru this post i’d like to say thanks to everyone who have given their prayer and support during Kayla’s mom pregnancy until Kayla is delivered, brothers, sisters, friends. Especially our parents, opah yusuf, omah rika, eyang sam dan eyang niti.
