Three Way Conference

TWC If you look at the picture you must be wondering whether it is a picture of a bazaar or exhibition or what, nope this is a picture of Three Way Conference (TWC). Yup..we named it that way. This is actually the event held by my workplace today, where teachers meet parents and students to discuss student academic progress. For one academic year there are 4 terms and TWC is held in odd terms, which means we don’t provide printed report for the odd terms. Well, this is a new way for me to give update regarding student progress. I have been teaching for 4 years and have taught in 2 schools before. This is the 3rd school I am working at. For the 1st two schools they always provide printed report each term but not here. Of course there are advantages and disadvantages which won’t be discussed here ;)

Having this conference I can get a conclusion, there are actually no dumb students (oops..sorry to say that) only those who have good motivation  or lack of it .

So, where am I? I can’t see myself on the picture…dooohh (of course, you were taking the picture) :D

Teachers, educators, lecturers feel free to give your comments here.

Kayla’s Mom New Look

Kayla's Mommy 2Alhamdulillah, i would like to happily announce that now Kayla’s mom wears headscarf (read : Jilbab). Actually this change has been awaited for a long time, and she knew that she’ll wear it someday when she is mentally ready. The picture is taken when she went to a gala dinner organized by her colleagues last week and so many positive comments was received from her friends. I am happy to hear that as i know that it won’t be easy for a female to get use to this new look, they need to adapt with stuffs. They need to have a big support from families and friends.

The second picture was taken before me and my wife went to “hunt” for a secondary car. For a ‘newbie’ i am quite surprise to see the way she manage her new look, the way she wear the  headscarf is just fantastic (ok dear, since i say it in public, you can buy me dinner :D ). Kayla's Mommy 1 I mean, she’s been staying at home for like 2,5 months (before and after kayla’s delivery). She rarely has the chance to go to places to find ideas of  ‘female headscarf style’. All she does is  just look at magazines we bought that has several pictures of muslim clothings. For this, i give her 9 out of 10 (hihi ;) ).

Well, i am hoping that she will be given strength and faith so this will last forever. Thank you for those who have given support in any way (prayers, gifts, etc).

Kayla and her 1st hair cut moment

This post is supported by special guests, yes..i mean we Dad give a speechpost a picture of Ibu Majlis ta’lim who organize Kayla 40 days syukuran and cukuran (hair cut).  This occasion is held on Sunday 28th February 2010 @ 1 PM. Initially i thought that this occasion is only a cultural event until i found out from several websites which tells us that actually this thing is sunnah (something that is not a must but if you do it you will be given ‘good reward’ as this was shown by our prophet Muhammad SAW).

Ok, i am going to tell you the breakdown of this event. First of all, the leader of Ibu Majlis Ta’lim started by saying Bismillah and all, then it continued by me giving a little speech.

Ibu majlis ta'limYa..ya.., i know that i was in a sleepy mode. Next to me is my youngest sister, kalyla’s aunty who assists me through out the syukuran :D

After the short speech, we read Al Quran together and then followed by the fantastic team (red : Ibu Majlis Ta’lim)  singing sholawat, and other islamic stuff..plus they brought their own traditional music instrument. Honestly, i did not know that this ‘entertainment’ part  would take that long. Yes, i said long as it took like 30mins for this part. But, that’s okay..it was interesting.

Here’s the picture of the team.

Lastly, of course the main topic which is the hair cut moment.Kayla @ syukuran This is the first time for me attending baby’s 1st hair cut moment, i mean not because this is my 1st baby but honestly i have never been in this kind of ceremony before, not my neighbor’s not even my brother’s (oops, for this i’d like to apologize to my brother, Kayla’s uncle Ade as i couldn’t come when he held his bab’y hair cut ceremony). Here’s the picture where kayla become a center of attraction (err..am I saying it correctly?)

Finally, through this post i’d like to send my prayer for my little princess to be given guidance by Alloh SWT, amiin ;)
